1. Service Description & License
Quizzz is a multi-tenant Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform providing AI-powered quiz generation, assignment hosting, and student assessment tools. The Service supports two user scopes: (a) Teachers, who can generate quizzes, manage classes, and assign tests; and (b) Students, who can register accounts, manage enrollments, and access Self-Study features (generating private quizzes via text, PDF, Web URLs, or YouTube videos, utilizing AI dialogue, and receiving personalized strength/weakness analyses). Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service.
2. User Content & Intellectual Property
You retain all rights, title, and interest in and to any materials, documents, audio, Web URLs, YouTube links, or text you upload to the Service ("User Content"). You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to process, host, and transmit your User Content solely for the purpose of providing, performing, and improving the Service. You represent and warrant that your User Content does not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property, privacy, or copyrights. You agree to assume full responsibility for any disputes or legal claims arising from your User Content (including materials uploaded for student Self-Study).
3. Account Registration & Security
To access the Service as a teacher or administrator, you must authenticate using your Google account or email credentials. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and maintaining the confidentiality of your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to or use of your account.
4. Proprietary Rights
All rights, title, and interest in the Service, including the design systems, source code, user interfaces, branding presets, themes, and proprietary algorithms, belong exclusively to TechTransLab. You may not copy, reverse-engineer, or distribute any part of our intellectual property without our express written consent.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. TechTransLab makes no warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to the merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement of the Service. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or entirely secure.
6. Public Content & Search Indexing
If you configure a quiz as a "Promotional Quiz" or publish it on your public tenant landing page, you agree that such content may be indexed by search engines and included in our public sitemaps. This indexing is intended to increase the public exposure of your materials and does not apply to private quiz links or school-restricted assessments.
7. AI-Generated Content & Accuracy
The Service utilizes generative artificial intelligence (including Google Gemini AI) to assist in composing quiz questions, phonetic guides, and translations. You acknowledge that AI-generated content can contain errors, biases, or inaccuracies (hallucinations). You are solely responsible for reviewing, correcting, and validating all AI-generated output before assigning it to students. We assume no liability for errors or damages resulting from AI-generated material.
8. Subscriptions & Payments
We offer free and premium paid tiers (Lite, Go, Pro) on monthly or annual billing cycles. Subscriptions are billed in advance and are non-refundable. Upon downgrading, features exceeding your new tier limits will be locked.
9. Data Retention & Deletion
You can request deletion of your account at any time by emailing [email protected] from the email address on the account. We may ask you to verify that you own the account. Asking why you are leaving is optional, and you do not need to give a reason. When we process your request, your account is deactivated immediately. To restore it, email [email protected] within 30 days of the deletion. Within 180 days of the deletion, we permanently delete the account and its personal data, quizzes, and related content from our production systems; residual copies in backups are removed as those backups expire. Restoration is not possible after permanent deletion. Some records may be kept for the periods described in our Privacy Policy or as required by law. Anonymized or aggregated statistics that cannot be linked back to you may be retained. 10. Student Accounts, Roster Linking & Self-Study
Students may register accounts to manage their learning. Upon signup, the Service automatically links the student account to existing teacher roster records matching the student's email ("Roster Linking") to consolidate attempt history. Quizzes and analysis generated through student Self-Study are private and accessible only by the student. Class assignments assigned by a teacher are not private; results and grades are shared with the assigning teacher for educational feedback.
11. Modification of Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. In the event of material changes, we will notify registered users via email or in-app announcements. Your continued use of the Service following such notifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Limitation of Liability & Indemnification
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TechTransLab shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TechTransLab and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from your violation of these Terms or misuse of the Service.
13. Single-User License & Account Sharing
Each account is licensed for a single individual. Credentials may not be shared. The Service employs technical telemetry (such as geo-IP check and concurrent login monitoring) to detect account sharing. If concurrent logins from different locations are flagged, we may request verification and suspend access for non-compliance. For school-wide or team licenses, contact us at [email protected]. 14. Direct Messaging & Conduct
Where available, registered students can send direct messages to individual teachers from the teacher's public profile or the teacher directory. Starting a conversation requires a verified email address. Teachers cannot start conversations; a student may send one message until the teacher replies, and a teacher may stop accepting messages or block a student at any time. A teacher may invite a student in a conversation to join their class roster; the student's email address is shared with that teacher only if the student accepts. You agree not to use messaging to send spam, harassment, threats, sexual or hateful content, scams, or unlawful content, to impersonate others, or to request personal information from minors. Any arrangement, lesson, or payment you make with another user outside the Service is solely between you and that user; we are not a party to it and are not responsible for it. Any participant can report a conversation. A report preserves a copy of the most recent messages in that conversation for review by our platform administrators. We may dismiss a report, record a warning, remove messages, or restrict or suspend an account's messaging, and we may automatically pause new conversations for an account that receives reports from several users while those reports are reviewed. Messaging restrictions do not limit other parts of your account unless we separately determine that you have violated these Terms.
15. Eligibility & Minors
Quizzz is open to learners of all ages: children below the account minimum age can answer quizzes through a teacher's link without an account. To comply with local laws, you must give your true date of birth when you create an account, and we may suspend or delete an account that gives false age information. Teacher accounts are for adults aged 18 or older. Students must be at least 13 years old, or older if the law of their country requires a higher minimum age to consent to the processing of personal data, to create an account; when registering, students provide their date of birth so we can confirm this. Children who do not meet the minimum age cannot create an account, but may answer quizzes their teacher shares by link without an account, under that teacher's responsibility. Students under the age of majority where they live (for example, 18 in Taiwan) may use the Service only with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, which they confirm when registering, and the parent or guardian accepts these Terms on their behalf. Teachers and schools that enter children's personal information are responsible for obtaining any parental or school consent required by applicable law. If we learn that we have collected personal information without a required consent, we will delete it.
